Colonia del Sacramento is declared as World Heritage Site by Unesco. The organizers of the Encuentro have proposed to leave as a legacy, the permanent lighting of two of its icons: the Bastion del Carmen and Puerta de la Ciudadela. We invite you to participate in a project for three days to unveil the history and meaning of these spaces through light.
Coordination: Victor Palacio and Douglas Leonard Jr.Douglas Leonard and Victor Palacio are lighting designers with a strong focus on collaborative work in addition to teamwork talent; In their design studios located in Chile and Mexico respectively, we work with a clear and focused concept, a solid technical base and a focus on the needs of clients and users.
Collaborators: Horacio Medina and Daniela VallejoHoracio Medina and Daniela Vallejo are graduates of the DIA Master’s Degree at UPM and both are design directors of the studios where they work. Their daily work consists of making decisions with limited human resources and tight deadlines to meet project objectives, customer expectations and also deliver an attractive and stimulating design.
